The Sanctuary is located within a former Methodist church on Sheep Street, just opposite the village green, as shown on the map above, and the photograph below:
PARKING
Guests may pull up directly outside The Sanctuary, to load and unload their cars only.
There is designated free parking on Sheep Street close to The Sanctuary, however, this is restricted to two hours during the day.
The map below shows the location of further parking. The Market Square, highlighted in red below, is very close to The Sanctuary, however, free parking is again restricted to two hours during the day. We recommend parking further down Sheep Street, or turning right onto Lower Park Street and Back Walls, as shown by the blue lines below. If you park on Back Walls, there are pedestrian paths through to Sheep Street, as shown by the purple lines below.
Back Walls is a very narrow street, therefore please park carefully, with consideration for the residents of other properties in the area.
It would be very unusual not to be able to find parking on or around Back Walls, however, just in case, there is a
Long Stay Car Park located next to Tesco, on the other side of the market square, a short walk away from The Sanctuary. The location of the Long Stay Car Park is shown on the town map above. Please check the specific rules at the car park, as vehicles may need to be moved occasionally for stays of more than a few days duration.
Access
From the road, the blue (now green door) entrance door leads into the lobby for The Sanctuary and the neighbouring apartments. The Sanctuary is accessed using a key and key fob, both of which are kept in a key safe box to the right of the clock tower, as shown in the photographs below:
Please note that there are five key safe boxes in total and the key safe box for The Sanctuary is second from the right.
THE ACCESS CODE FOR THE KEY SAFE HAS BEEN E-MAILED TO YOU AND IS NOT IN THIS DOCUMENT
PLEASE ENSURE YOU HAVE MADE A NOTE OF THE CODE AND TAKE IT WITH YOU
To open the key safe, slide the black screen down, set the dials to the access code and pull the small black lever down.
If there is any possibility that you will be arriving in the dark, we recommend taking a torch with you.
The key fob provides access to the blue (now green) entrance door, as shown in the photograph above. Once inside, The Sanctuary is apartment number 1.
